Partnership is increasingly accepted as a panacea for complex, dynamic issues; the political and policy focus on this form of organisation is expanding exponentially with over 120,000 references to ‘partnership’ on Australian Government websites and over 70,000 for ‘collaboration’. There is now a clear expectation that public services and related activities need to be joined up.

Partnership Matters knows that effective partnership working requires a unique mix of specific skills and processes, yet most people are thrown into partnerships with no knowledge of these; as a result their experience is negative, outcomes are negligible, creating a reluctance for further collaborative activity.

We want to share our knowledge of effective partnership, so experiences of partnership are positive, outcomes are substantial, generating an appetite for further collaborative activity.
